White Skirt x 2

On saturday I have my cousin's graduation party and I have been planning on what to wear. I did not want to wear a dress, so I created a few options based around a white skirt. I think both of these combinations are very fresh. When I don't know what to wear, but have some ideas I go to Polyvore and create an outfit to see what it would look like. And when Im done, it see if my own peaces go together.

Lauantaina on ihanan serkkuni ylioppilasjuhlat, ja olen etukäteen miettinyt mitä puen päälle. Koin että mulla ei oikein ole mitään kivaa mekkoa, joten voisin tehdä jonkun kivan hame-yhdistelmän. Tein kaksi asuvaihtoehtoa luomalla ne ensin Polyvoressa ja sitten kokoamalla ne kotona.

Outfit 1.

First I created this white floral outfit. This I created after I had taken the pictures, so that's why the shoes and bag are different in the picture I took of my pieces. But I do have a similar pink bag and silver shoes that I would wear with this floral lace outfit.

Eka asuyhdistelmä on kaunis valkoisen ja kukkakuvioidun pitsin yhdistelmä. Kengät ja laukku on eri Polyvore kuvassa kuin omassa kuvassani, mutta minulla löytyy vaaleanpunainen kirjekuorilaukku ja hopeiset kengät, joten luulen että ne sopii tähän asuun hyvin.

The lace top I have for this outfit is actually a dress. But it is very very short, so, I think it will go well as a top in this case.

Oma pitsitoppini on oikeastaan mekko, mutta se on hyvin hyvin lyhyt, joten uskon sen käyvän topista tässä asussa.

Outfit 2.

This second outfit is very cute as well. I like the combination of the turquoise and white. And paired with a simple pair of shoes and bag it will look very cute.

Kakkosasussa halusin yhdistää valkoisen ja turkoosin. Mielestäni tämä on niin raikas yhdistelmä että oikein harmittaa että mulla ei ole muita turkoosin värisiä vaatteita.

My own top looks too blue in the pictures, it is actually more turquoise and a bit shiny fabric. The bag is not exactly the same either. 

The inspiration for this colour combination I got from who else than Rihanna.

Oma toppini on turkoosimpi kuin miltä se kuvassa näyttää. Inspiraationi tähän väriyhdistelmään tuli keneltä muultakaan, kuin rihannalta :)

Tunics in my summer dreams

Today I was freezing on my way to work, and I am sure I wasn't the only one. How can the weather change from too hot to too cold in (what feels like) a second?!?!? As soon as the rain came I started dreaming about these must haves for summer. TUNICS!!! Tunics with fresh and lovely pattern, beautiful embroderies and fringes. They can be paired with jeans, shorts or a skirts. Perfect for hot summer nights!

Palelin ihan järkyttävästi tänään matkalla töihin, enkä varmasti ollut ainut bussipysäkillä hytisevä, säätiedotusta kiroava henkilö. Miten sää voi muuttua ihanasta kuumasta kesäsäästä arktiseen kylmään jääkarhusäähän silmänräpäyksessä??!?! Olen tänään sadevarjon alla unelmoinut väljistä tunikoista. Kaunis kuvioitu tunika on pakko saada kesäksi. Sellainen jossa on kauniita yksityiskohtia ja vaikka hapsuja. Sopisi niin hyvin farkkujen, sortsien tai vaikka hameen kaveriksi :)

POP POP POPSICLE!

I think I made the best purchase this summer. Popsicle forms. These are perfect to make refreshing healthy popsicles to cool yourself down on a hot summer day like this. I have already made two batches. The first one with coconut cream and pineapple juice (yummy!!!) and now this one. I think I will be making many more of these since I am not the only one in my household that has fallen for these :)

For this blueberry yoghourt popsicle I just mixed blueberries with greek yoghourt, a splash of milk and honey. In the bottom of the popsicle form I put a few whole blueberries to make the popsicles look nice.

Taisin tehdä kesän parhaimman ostoksen kun ostin jääpuikkomuotit. Ne ovat täydelliset terveellisten jääpuikkojen ja jäätelöiden tekemiseen. Kesällä kun tekee niin mieli kaikkea kylmää ja viilentävää, mutta ei aina halua juoda sokerisia limuja tai syödä epäterveellisiä jäätelöitä. Olen jo muutamassa päivässä thenyt pari eri versiota. Ensin kokeilin kookosrmalla ja anansemehulla, ja siität tuli niin hyvää. Uskon että tulen tekemään vielä monta eri versiota, sillä ne näyttää nyt jo menevän parempiin suihin :)

Tässä reseptissä käytin mustikoita, kreikkalaista jugurttia, hieman maitoa ja hunajaa. Pohjalle laitoin muutaman kokonaisen mustikan.

Nail day

I had my nails done today, and I went for this white silver colour that will look so nice on tanned skin (if I ever have time to get a tan):)

Olin tänään kynsihuollossa ja valkkasin kauniin valkohopean kynsilaka kynsiini. Näyttää varmasti ihanalta sitten kun (lue jos :)) ehdin saada hieman rusketusta pintaan :)

Today when I had my crisis when I looked in my closet, I was so happy to find this paisley pattern top. I did not remember I had it and it was perfect for this weather. I love the warm weather because it gives so much more options for what to wear. 

I love my coat, I love my pants, my sunglasses, watch... :D

Aamulla kun kohtasin vaatekriisin vaatekaapillani olin niin iloinen että löysin tämän sinisen paisleykuvioidun topin, jonka olin unohtanut täysin. Tämä lämmin sää antaa niin paljon enemmän valinnanvaraa pukeutumiselle että halkean ilosta! :D

Knitting summer

Cosy knits are not just an item of cold dark winters. When the sun  and summer comes people usually immediately change into maxi dresses, skirts and tops. Nothing wrong with that, I do so too, but I sure think knits should not be forgotten at the bottom of your closet. Knits can be part of a summer outfit more than better! Pehmeät neuleet eivät pelkästään ole kylmän talven juttu. Heti kun aurinko paistaa, kun kevät ja kesä tulee, porukat kaduilla vaihtaa maximekkoihin, pikkutoppeihin ja hameisiin. Ei siinä mitään, niin minäkin, mutta paksuja neuleita ei saisi unohtaa kaapin pohjalle. Neuleet voivat olla osa kesäpukeutumista todella hyvin. Nämä inspiskuvat ehkä inspiroivat myös sinua olemaan pakkaamatta paksut neuletakit tai neuleet talvivarastoon :) Kuvat ovat Pinterest seinältäni!

Outft: Could not believe it was that hot

Yesterday we went with some lovely girls to see the movie "The other woman". Man! I haven't laughed like that for a long time! It was sooo hilarious I almost choked on my candies! I really recommend it, if you like comedies and pretty women :)

And for the outfit. I did not think I would feel as hot as I did outside. Now we can really say it is finally summer. It go so hot so suddenly that there will be some serious thunder storms. I can already hear the thunder outside, even tho the sun is shining.

This outfit is very neutral. I just like the combination of black and powder beige. 

Eilen käytiin tyttöjen kanssa kattomassa "se toinen nainen" leffa. Siis en ole aikoihin nauranut yhtä paljon kuin eilisessä leffassa! Siis kyyneleet valui ja olin tukehtumaisillani karkkeihini! :D

Ja mitä mun asuun tulee, niin en oikeesti uskonut että ulkona olisi ollut niin kuuma että läkähdyn pelkkään neuleeseen. Voimme siis toivottaa kesän tervetulleeksi. Tämä lämpö tuli niin äkkiä että saamme nyt säätiedotusten mukaan ukksomyrskyjä. Ukkonen kuuluu jo ulkona vaikka aurinko paistaa.

Asuni on hyvin neutraalin värinen. Pidän paljon mustan ja puuterinbeigen yhdistelmästä.

Our friend Gus!

Spring brings along the green or white vegetable that does not only taste good, it is also healthy. This recipe is the easiest and you can't fail with it. You only need fresh green asparagus, parmesan cheese, olive oil and salt.

Line the asparagus in a pan. Sprinkle salt and olive oil on top. Grate the parmesan cheese and sprinkle on top of the salted and oiled asparagus. Cook in 200°C for 10-15 minutes. Enjoy!

Kevät tuo tullessaan ihanan vihreän kasviksen, parsan! Se on hyvän makuinen ja terveellinen. Tämä resepti on maailman helpoin, eikä siinä voi epäonnistua. Tarvitset tuoretta vihreää parsaa, oliiviöljyä, suolaa ja parmesaanijuustoa. 

Aseta parsat riviin astiaan. Sirottele päälle suolaa ja kaada päälle loraus oliiviöljyä. Raasta parmesaani ja ripottele parsan päälle. Paista 200°C uunissa noin 10-15 minuuttia. Nauti! 

Festivals and galas

These last few weeks have been all about galas and festivals. At these kind of events there are always the stunners the shockers and the what were they thinking? dressers. I picked my favourite stunners that made my jaw drop!

Viime viikkoina on näkynyt yhtä sun toista gaala tai festivaalikuvaa naisista punaisella matolla salamanvälkkeessä. Punaisella matolla näkee aina häikäiseviä, shokeeraavia ja ihmettelyä herättäviä asuja. Poimin lempparini jotka saivat silmäni kirkastumaan :)

My favourite was definitely Blake Lively! What a stunning dress! The slit makes it perfect, and the way the fabric drapes is just gorgeous. Also the shape of the dress that creates an hour glass figure fits her slim body perfectly. The colour is not so trendy or springy fresh, but it goes well with her skin tone and hair colour. And yes, her braid, wow!

Lempparini oli ehdottomasti Blake Lively. Puvun kangas putoaa kauniisti, ja puvussa on kaunis vanhanaikainen muoto joka antaa muuten hoikalle Blakelle naisellisen tiimalasivartalon. Väri ei ole keväinen tai kovin trendikäs, mutta sopii hyvin hänen ihonsävyyn ja hiustenväriin. Ja niin, tuo letti, wau!

Victoria Beckham has a style that rarely fails. This dress is simple and trendy. The white colour and the cropped style is hot now. She pulls it off nicely with her slim figure. I would have had my hair up in a bun to make a more glamorous and sophisticated look.

Victoria Beckhamin tyyli ei koskaan petä. Tämä puku on yksinkertaisuudessaan ja väriltään trendikäs. Valkoinen väri ja crop-tyyli on kuumaa kamaa tällä hetkellä. Puku sopii myös hyvin hänen hoikalle vartalolle. Olisin kuitenkin pitänyt hiukset kiinni jotta lookki olisi vielä tyylikkäämpi ja muodollisempi.

The pale powder dress looks flawless on Rachel McAdams. It is also very trendy in it's colour and simplicity. With this one I would have had my hair up in a bun and added a pair of big earrings.

Rachel McAdamsin puuterinvaalea puku on kaunis ja trendikäs. Olisin kuitenkin tässä myös kiinnittänyt hiukset kauniisti nutturalle ja lisännyt jotkut näyttävät korvikset tuomaan asuun vähän särmää.

I noticed that all my favourite dresses were spot on the current trends. Diane Kruger chose a very fresh spring dress with the trendy neckline and spaghetti straps. The one sided drape gives the dress something extra.

Huomasin että kaikki gaalojen lempipukuni ovat juuri tämän hetken trendin mukaisia. Diane Kruger valitsi asukseen hyvin kauniin ja keväisen luomuksen jonka kaula-aukko on leikattu trendin mukaan unohtamatta muodissa olevia spagettiolkaimia. Sivussa oleva laahus tuo pientä extraa muuten yksinkertaiseen pukuun.
