Cosmetics update

This weekend I had the most fun weekend in a long time. We traveled to Tallin with some girls to celebrate my friends birthday. We had spa and treatment reservations, did some shopping and good dining. I will make a separate post about the trip, but now I will show you some cosmetics I grabbed with me from Kaubamaja :)

I needed a blush and was very happy to find out that they have The Balm in Estonia. I bought this blush, and I love it. The colour is very peachy (not as brown as in the picture) and easy to apply. Very good quality.

I have actually been asking around for this powder in all places in Helsinki where they sell MUS. This powder has not yet arrived to any shop in Helsinki, and I was so happy to find it in Tallinn! MUS are renewing their packages, and as you see, the packaging is gorgeous!

And the beauty blender...I have been thinking about buying this, and luckily I did! It is soooooo good! Never has my foundation been so even! I love, love, love it!

Hair tag challenge

Pinski challenged me with a hair tag challenge, and actually at a good time since I am going to the hair dresser on friday! Yay!

So here comes the questions:

1. When did you change your hair style for the first time?
I think it was when I was about 12. I had short hair almost all of my child hood, and when I got a bit older I wanted long hair. So the fact that I let my hair grow out was kind of a hair style change. I don't know why my mom always wanted my hair short when I was small...that is probably why I am obsessed with long hair now...

2. When did you colour or highlight your hair for the first time?
I started with blonde highlights around 13 years of age. At some point I had to try dark hair, but went back to blonde.

Me in dark hair.

3. Hair product that you could not live without?
A salt spray! Currently I am using a salt spray from Fudge (it smells heavenly like coconut!), but I like the Balmain salt spray a lot as well.

4.A hair product you regret buying.
The moroccan oil and the four reasons cream pomade. The moroccan oil  has silicone in it, and it did not meet the hype that was around it. I think I gave it to someone. The four reasons hair cream pomade smelled good in the shop, but when I got home it smelled too strongly like lanolin, which is the oil that comes from lamb fur. So it smelled like lamb. My boyfriend did not notice the smell, so he took it! :)

5. What colour would you like to colour your hair?
I would like my hair to be able to maintain a nice grey tone, but because of my red pigment it always turns yellowish :(

6. Which hair care product would you like to get?
I would actually like to get some vitamins to strengthen my hair currently. I have some kind of hair loss period. I think it is because of the upcoming winter. Weird that my hair is falling out before winter, when it actually should grow thicker to keep me warm... I would also like to try some Kerastase or Redken hair care products next.

7. A hair care product that did not work on your hair.
In addition to the moroccan oil, some silver toners.

8. What do you think about hair extensions.
I have kind of mixed feelings for hair extensions. I have had them my self, I loved the way they look, but the washing of your hair and brushing, and blahh...requires a lot of maintaining. Also bad made hair extensions look really horrible.

Here I have hair extensions :)

9. A hair care rule you hardly ever follow.
Washing your hair with cold water is difficult for me since I love hot showers. I also don't currently have any intensive hair treatments.

10. Do you use any vitamins to strengthen your hair? Are they working?
Currently I am eating vitamin A and D for over all wellbeing, but I have not yet notice any difference in my hair. I have tried a lot of different things. Mostly I like the OptiMSM powder.

11. Who is your hair Idol?
Beyonce: Because she has natural looking golden locks.
Rihanna: Her changing looks are fierce! I wish I had the chance to try any hair style I wanted!

Outfits on video

Hi again!

I think I really got hooked on this video thing. Today I filmed three outfits on video! :) The outfits have a theme, leggings. I actually think leggings are underrated. I mean nobody likes the see thorough leggings, or the combination of leggings that end at your calves and a denim skirt...omg never! But when leggings are styled the right way, I think they are fabulous. They elongate the legs and fit well with many things. Don't mind the music on the video, I did not find any good song from the list of jingles on iMovie.

Palettes and truffle fries

Oh god! I have been super busy lately. I feel like I don't even have time to do basic things like cook and clean. Yesterday after work me and my friend decided to relax over a glass of wine. We went to a place called Hodari & Hummeri to have a fish hot dog and french fries fried in truffle! it was so yummy!

I also got something I have been thinking of getting for a while. I love rose gold tones in anything and I feel that the colour goes well with anything. So...I have been thinking about buying the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette for some time now. I have the first Naked palette, and I love it. The quality of the eyeshadows is great, and it has lasted me for a long time. The palette is kind of pricy, even in on line shops. So when I got home the -20% ticket for Sokos (who nowadays sell Urban Decay) I saw my chance! I really love it and I am happy I got it at this good price. It also comes with one eyeshadow brush, and some primer samples. Good deal!

In these pictures, and in the video below, I am wearing some of the eyeshadows from the palette.

I started filming this video where I was supposed to make swatches of the colours, but the battery of my camera finished. I could not resist to get to play with iMovie again, so you will just get a glimpse in to the palette and the lovely shades!

Remember to change the video setting to HD :)
