Skirts + Sneakers = True Love #outfit

I often see women in the street that really pull off the "sneakers with anything" outfit. They pair their sneakers with classy and stylish outfits and it looks good. I think there are a few thinks you need to take in to consideration to be able to pull of a "sneaker + anything" look. I used to think sneakers and skirts or dresses looked silly, but with the right combination I'm sure you can slay it!

Some fashionistas pull off the big chunky Nike Airmaxs' with a skirt outfit. But to be on the safe side there are some things to keep in mind mixing sporty with girly:

- avoid too chunky sneakers
- favor one coloured sneakers
- wear short socks or no socks
- wear mostly same colours in the outfit
- wear non lace ups

With these tips you will definitely rock the skirt + sneakers outfit!

I usually prefer pencil skirts to work. But I love this skirt I found at Stradivarius when I visited Tallinn in the summer. This black skirt is easily paired with any knit or shirt. I love the fact that it has pockets :)

Lipstick update #makeup

The lipstick maniac here again... Before I went to Croatia I had purchased three lipsticks and a lip liner; Viva Glam 2, Faux and Velvet Teddy. These are classic MAC lipsticks with the perfect formula. The Urban Decay lipstick is from their new launch, where they launched 100 new lipstick shades in 6 different formulas. The Stripdown liner I had to buy when I noticed that they had a MAC shop at the airport in Helsinki. At least I got it cheaper, which is always a good reason to get something :) The Subculture lip liner is also fairly new. It is a basic nude and I don't have a lip swatch in this post because it is a bit fair on me now that I have a tan. At the airport I also purchased my favourite everyday lip gloss/cream from Clarins.

MAC - FAUX

Faux is a mauve pink lipstick with a satin finish. On MAC:s website it states that the colour is muted mauve pink. In person it shows a bit more pink than in the pictures, but it is a perfect "your lips colour but better" colour. It is perfect if you don't like too bright colours, but want to try a little something.

MAC - VIVA GLAM II

Viva Glam 2 is a perfect cool nude. I love nudes. On MAC's website it says that it is a muted pink-beige with shimmer. I don't see much shimmer, and I think it is more to the grey side than pink. The finish is also satin, which is a very comfortable finish for the lips. The best thing with this lipstick is that when you purchase a Viva Glam 2 range lipstick from MAC they donate the WHOLE selling sum to the MAC Aids fund. No better reason to buy lipsticks huh!? I think I will donate this month again :D

MAC - VELVET TEDDY

Velvet Teddy is another very popular MAC lipstick. I made sure that when I saw this at the MAC counter I would get it, because you never know when the lipstick will be sold out. That's how popular it is. I know many of the nudes look alike, but they DON'T! This is - according to MAC - a deep-toned beige. Which I think looks more brown on light skin. On me as well when I am a pale ass b*tch in the winter. I looooove the colour!

URBAN DECAY - VIOLATE

I think MAC is up for a serious rival since Urban Decay decided to relaunch their whole lipstick range. They did a good job in picking colours and finishes. There will definitely be something for everyone. I didn't have a purple shade lipstick until I ordered this online. The finish of this is cream, and the colour is described as a dusty purple with a pink undertone. It is very opaque and applies evenly.

MAC STRIPDOWN LIP PEN

I have been in need of a brown lip pencil, and this was a perfect pick. It is perfect when paired with almost any nude or pink. A bit of a 90's vibe here...

So let's see when there is a need of the next lipstick update post...I am trying to convince that I have all the shades I need for now. But what about fall? I will need a dark plum shade right?

Fall feelings #outfit

Hi. I was trying to hang on to summer still for a while, but I can already sense the autumn in the air. As I came back from Croatia I still wanted to wear skirts and summery clothes, but noticed that it is too cold for me. Especially at the office. The air condition is so cold I even caught a small flu immediately I stepped in to the office!

Anyway, this is what I was wearing the other day. It is a bit fall like with dark colours and boots.

Top: Zara
Leggings: Zara
Vest: H&M
Coat: H&M
Shoes: Depech

I did buy some stuff on my trip to Croatia. Mostly from the airport, since we didn't really go for a shopping trip and Croatia is not the biggest shopping place. I also have a few new beauty products that I will show you. I need to find a lip colour for fall, so let's see what I will end up buying.

Croatia snapshots

Oh god...the amount of pictures that was on my camera and phone was huge. I just finished looking them through. I came back from a 30 degrees hot Croatia on Saturday. Even though the weather sucks here I am happy that I am safely home. As a slightly flight scared person the flight back home was not so smooth... Anyway, I thought I'd share some pictures from this amazing trip.

We had a week at our catamaran in Croatia. We were six persons this time and we sailed to different places in the Croatian archipelago. The weather was great! Over 30 degrees during the day time, not much colder during night. At first the heat felt exhausting, but I got used to it very fast. Especially when you can basically jump in to the ocean whenever you feel like it. I enjoy the sun a lot, and I freeze easily, so this climate is perfect for me.

This was my cabin for the week. There was a few sleepless nights due to windy weather conditions, but otherwise I was very content with my little hub.

This picture from above was from a bay we stayed at one night. We parked (?) our yacht at a buoy and took the small motor boat to shore. We ate at a local restaurant with this amazing view.

Sometimes we stopped at a bay or in the middle of the ocean to take a swim in the very salty water. This turquoise water was amazingly clear and warm.

This small town called Port of Vis was one of my favourite places we visited. It is an old greek town and the buildings are amazing. We stayed here for one night.

Next stop we made in a bigger city was close to the port of Hvar. There was no space to park our boat at the harbour, so we left it a bit further away and took a boat taxi to town. This place was amazing! Huge yachts, hot climate, good ice cream and lovely views.

Below are some random pics from different locations. Last time we were in Croatia we saw dolphins, which I was hoping to do this time as well, but this time we did not have luck.

Our home harbour in Sibenik is close to Trogir which is a Unesco world heritage site. It is beautiful with its historic culture. We spent our last night there eating good food and enjoying the last hours of our trip.
