My nails are back!

DIY Nails

Since I stopped going to the nail salon, I have been using the UV-gellack at home. I have noticed that they don't last that long on my nails for some reason. I have been missing my long nails, so today I went with my mom to buy some nail stuff, and I got everything needed to build my own acrylic nails. I did everything myself from scratch. It took some time because I am still practicing. Doing the right hand was especialy difficult, but I managed :)

This is what they look like without any nailpolish. Still need to practice on making the shape...

I finished them with a glitter nail polish for new years. I am pretty happy with the result!

If you want to make your own nails all you need is:

You will also need nail polish remover (acetone) and paper. Buying this cost only about 50€ which is equivalent to one time at the nail salon. So I will save a pretty penny doing it my self.

My Christmas holiday snapshots

24th
Christmas eve was different, just the two of us having dinner. No presents, no christmas tree, no ham and no excitement. A bit different from our normal christmas, but sometimes it is like this. I wanted to make a different dinner on a differnet christmas, so I bought duck confit. It was very good together with the traditional potato, carrot and "lanttu" dishes.

25th
A birthday party. And I got to try theese amazing cakes.

26th
Christmas at dad's place. Presents and lovely company and food <3.

 27th
At mom's place. Christmas is over, but we have still been enjoying the holidays and christmas traditions.
We got an unprepared invitation from the neighbor to go and have some coffee and christmas treats. I was not prepared, I came to mom's in just sweatpants ready to relax. So this is what I ended up looking like when I borrowed clothes from mom's wardrobe :'D

28th
Enjoying the frosty weather. It has been lovely and relaxing.

Christmas pictures

Yesterday we had a christmas dinner at Botby gård. Such a pretty place. We are not having a regular christmas this year, so we gathered with the family for a christmas dinner in stead. Normally we are all together at christmas, but this time, everyone has their own other plans...

Here are some christmassy pictures from today morning. We had christmas porridge and glögg at my brothers and his girlfriends place.
My favourite, plum pudding with cream.

#Lillajul

As I promised, I was going to post my outfit from our pre christmas party. We were at the beautiful Suomenlinna at Pirunkirkko. We took the ferry there, had dinner and came back to go out dancing a bit. I went home early, since I had a pole dance show on Saturday. And I did not want to feel bad that day :)

It was alot of fun, and the place was beautiful. I took the advantage of the lightning and took some pictures. The whole place was lit up with different coloured lights, and it looked magical!

I am wearing a velvet dress from boohoo.com, leather pumps from Zara and a rosegold watch from Guess. I also had my blush coloured faux fur collar and my faux fur clutch in the same colour. Matchy matchy! :D

This was taken before we hopped on the ferry.

I was first going to wear this necklace, but I decided to skip it. The whole look was more elegant without it, I think. I really like velvet, which is very trendy at the moment. It is sophisticated, yet different. I also like that the dress is long enough not to look to trashy with the fairly open decolté.
