Chain Trends

After the statement necklace trend there is a new trend for jewellery lovers. Trends are usually going from one extremity to another. The statement trend is not gone, but now the thin chain pendant trend has also arrived. Layering necklaces is also very trendy, which gives a kind of statement effect. I like this layering trend, as long as you don't look like Jay Z :D

Statement kaulakorutrendin jälkeen muotikuviin on hiipinyt ohuiden kultaketjujen trendi. Tendit menevät usein yhdestä ääripäästä toiseen, joten paksujen statement kaulakorujen jälkeen oli odotettavissa ohuiden ja romanttisen kaulakorujen muotiin nousu. Myös ketjujen kerrostaminen on myös hyvin muodikasta ja antaa hieman statement efektiä. Pidän korujen kerrostamisesta, kunhan ei näytä Jay Z:ltä! :D

I found these inspirational pictures from google. Layering chains look some how both sophisticated and relaxed at the same time. The trick is just to have different lengths in the chains.

Löysin nämä inspiskuvat googlesta. Ketjujen kerrostaminen näyttää jotenkin sekä hienostuneelta että rennolta. Ideahan on että ketjut ovat eri pituisia.

Tulen tekemään muutaman postauksen kesän keskeisimmistä tyyleistä ja trendeistä. Joka postauksessa keskityn yhteen tiettyyn kesän trendiin.


Fashion trend SS 2014 part 1

Bohemian Summer

Aztec prints were in fashion already at least since last year. This summer its is also in fashion in a more bohemian way, not in tight skirts and tops, like the they way when the trend started. This bohemian trend includes fringes, flowy textures and light materials, loose kimonos and colourful prints, knitted tops and lace or everything of these combined. This trend is very appropriate for summer and will look good on tanned skin. I am afraid to say it, but this trend also includes a slightly messy look, maybe not combing your hair in a few days, letting your hair colour lighten in the sun, and over all look like you have been on vacation for months going on windy boat cruises and laying in the hammock  :D ...but still look sexy in a casual way.

Atsteekki printit tulivat muotiin jo ainakin pari vuotta sitten, ja sitä printtiä näki paljon tiukoissa hameissa ja topeissa. Tänä kesänä se on myös muodissa, mutta ehkä hieman boheemimmalla tavalla. Tähän kesän boheemiin trendiin liittyy hapsut, liehuvat materiaalit, löysät rennot kimonot ja värikkäät printit, neulostopit ja pitsi tai kaikki nämä edellä mainitut yhdistettynä. Tämä trendi sopii todella hyvin kesään, etenkin ruskettuneelle iholle. Tämän trendin sivutuotteena tulee myös yleisesti hieman rennon sekava ulkomuoto kuten pariin päivään kampaamattomat hiukset, auringossa haalistunut hiusväri, ja yleisesti sellainen lookki kuin olisit ollut kolmen kuukauden lomalla ja makoillut riippumatossa, ajellut veneellä ja kuitenkin onnistunut näyttämään rennon trendikkäältä :D ...kuitenkin seksikkäällä ja coolilla tavalla.

Ugly shoe trends

You know the reaction you have when you see a new trend and it is like the worst trend ever. You think that now they have really gone too far....then after a few months you find yourself wearing the same trend you hated a few months ago. I guess that's what trends are. In this post I show some ugly shoe trends that actually are pretty.

Tiedät reaktion jonka saat kun näet jonkin uuden trendin ja ajattelet että hyi hitto miten joku voi pukea päällensä tommoset?!?!  Kuukauden päästä huomaat kuolaavasi samojen trendien perään. Minun kohdallani on käynyt näin näissä trendeissä.

The Brickenstock trend

Seriously!?! the hospital shoe...almost the same category with crocs. The key with wearing this trend is to dress it casually. I think it is similar to the next ugly shoe trend the mule shoe, since it has the same open heel and open toe with wide middle part. I actually like the hospitalshoe pretty much now.

Sairaalakengät?!? Oikeasti? Tämä oli ajatuksen kun ensimmäisen kerran näin nämä jonkun fashionistan jaloissa. Pikkuhiljaa olen kuitenkin tottunut niihin ja oikeastaan tykästynt niihin. Näyttävät mukavilta ja rennoilta :)

The mule shoe

Some versions of the mule shoe actually look very ugly. I like the open toe version the most especially with a thin heel. This looks very comfortable, and I would love to have one in every colour.

Muulikengät kuullostavat yhtä rumalta kuin miltä ne aluksi näytti. Parhaimmat muulikengät ovat ne joissa on siro korko ja varpaat avoinna.

The platform sandals

With these ones I never thought I would like them. But when I saw them on Kenza, I saw why they are becoming a trend. Kind of hospitalish feel to them, but still fresh.

Näistä ajattelin heti että en koskaan tule tykkäämään niistä. Mutta kun näin ne Kenzan päällä niin näin mikä niissä viehättää. Hieman sairaalamaiset, mutta kuitenkin lapsenmielisen raikkaat. 

So with this post we can make the conclusion that I would want all of these weird trends. One ugly shoe trend that will never look nice to my eyes are the Crocs. No matter who you are or what you wear with them, they will never look nice :) maybe at home in the garden...

Tässä postauksessa voimme siis päätellä että haluan kaikki yllä olevat oudot kenkätrendit itselleni. Yksi kenkätrendi josta en koskaan tule tyykkäämään on Crocsit. Ihan sama kuka oot tai mitä puet päällesi näiden kanssa, Crocsit eivät koskaan näytä hyvälle :) Ehkä hiekkalaatikolla tai puutarhassa...
