My Shoes #1

I thought I'd make a post about my shoes. I have a fair amount of shoes, so I will make a separate post about my sneakers and pumps later. This one will be about shoes I use when it is colder. As I have said before, I usually buy leather shoes and try to maintain them by taking them to the cobbler. When it comes to heels and sneakers or flats, they don't necessarily have to be leather, but boots, they have to! 

These high heeled ankle boots I bought from Zara in the fall. They are very comfortable to walk in and the heel hight is just perfect, not too high and not too low. I have added a padded insole to make them even more comfortable. I have also had the cobbler put an outer sole to make them less slippery and more long-lasting. 

These Depeche shoes I bought last winter if I remember right. They are nubuck leather and one of my most used ankle boots. They are super comfortable to walk in the whole day. They also go with everything.

My Bianco biker boots are also very popular for my feet. I think I bought them last spring. They also go with everything :)

These Aldo boots I bought before Christmas, so I have not used them that much. But I think I will be using them a lot in the spring. 

These Zara spring boots I found in the sale after Christmas. Can't wait to use them. They are also leather.

These leather boots from H&M are very old, a few years at least. I have not used them that much, I don't know why. But they are a very classic model.

These are the only artificial leather boots I have. And I just looked at them and they are looking a bit dodgy...maybe they need a new home.

These I bought in the fall and they are one of my absolute faves. Comfortable, classic and stylish! I just had the cobbler put a better outer sole and heelpiece. They were a bit slippery both outside on snow and inside on marble floors. But not anymore thanks to my cobbler.

The Park West shoes are old. I have used them a lot as you see.

The Pollini's are a new find I did at Stockmann some weeks ago. They are perfect for cold wearher and super comfortable. The material in these is suede.

The Svea boots are from last winter. I have used them a lot and they are very warm.

These Caterpillars I have not used that much since the winter has not been that snowy. They are also very heavy :D

My Vagabonds are very old, probably about 6 years :D I don't use them that much anymore, just if I want a little edge in an outfit.

My DinSko nubuck leather shoes are very much used. Perfect for spring.

Last but not least my newest family member. These are exactly what I have been looking for and they are perfect. Can't wait to use them when the streets clear from snow :)

I feel like I have a shoe for every outfit, but there are still a few shoe types and colours I would like to have :) Then I will be happy with my collection!

Cat's

I have been pondering what shoes to get for winter when the weather is unbearable and you just want to keep warm. I have never owned a pair of UGGs. I think they look OK, but they seem too "fragile" for this Finnish hard core weather. When my boyfriend gave me these Caterpillar's I knew they would be perfect for winter. These will take any wind, snow or ice that will challenge me this winter. At least I will get a good leg workout every time I wear these since they whey at least one kg each :D I can only imagine jumping over snowpiles in them...

Olen miettinyt mitkä kunnon talvikengät hankkisin täksi talveksi, sellaiset jotka olisivat tarpeaksi lämpimät ja kestävät. En ole koskaan omistanut UGGeja. Mielestäni ne näyttävät ihan kivoilta, mutta tuntuu että ne ovat liian "heikot" suomen talveen. Kun sain poikaystävältäni nämä Caterpillarit, tiesin että ne ovat täydelliset kengät pahimpaan talvi-aikaan. Nämä kestävät kaiken tuulen, tuiskun lumen ja jään jonka joudun tänä talvena kohtaamaan. Tulen ainakin saamaan kunnon jalkatreenin joka kerta kun näitä käytän. Nämä nimittäin painavat ainakin kilon per kenkä :D voin vain kuvitella itseni rämpimässä lumikasoissa nämä jaloissa... 

Mesh high heeled bootie

This paper bag always makes me smile. Zara never disappoints. Recently I have gotten a new crush on Zara shoes, especially the leather shoes. Zara always has both classic shoe models and trendy shoe models, which means you always find something to buy! (good or bad thats up to you) :)

Ever since I saw these shoes on Kenza, I had to have them! Kenza always has the pretties shoes and also a great style in general.

Tämä paperikassi saa minut aina hymyilemään. Zara ei koskaan petä, sieltä löytää aina jotakin! Viime aikoina olen tykästynyt yhä enemmän Zaran kenkiin, etenkin nahkaisiin kenkiin. Zarasta saa sekä klassisia kenkämalleja että trendikkäämpiä malleja, joten siellä on aina jotakin jokaiselle.

Siitä lähtien kun näin nämä kengät Kenzan asussa, minun oli aivan pakko saada ne! Kenzalla on mailman ihanimpia kenkiä ja hänen tyylinsä o muutenkin pettämätön :) <3

New in my shoe stand

I have been looking for boots for fall, so when I found these leather boots online and on sale I was more than happy to buy them. They are from Biancos last season collection, but they are still very trendy. They are comfortable and look nice, but most important they are leather. 

What do you think about my new boots?

Olen etsiskellyt syysbuutseja, joten kun löysin nämä netissä klikkasin ne iloisena kotiin. Ne ovat Biancon viime sesongin mallistoa, mutta todella makeet ja ennen kaikkea nahkaa.

BB - black boots

I have been looking for new shoes for fall. I want them in black leather. The boot trend is still going strong, an I really like it. They are very convenient for fall and winter. Here are some of my favourites online.

Olen etsinyt uusia syyskenkiä tälle syksylle. Haluan mustat nahkaiset buutsit. Buutsi-trendi näyttää vielä jatkuvan ja tykkään siitä, sillä buutsit ovat ainakin kestävät ja lämpimät sekä vedenpitävät. Tässä muutama lemppari nettikaupoista (paitsi Zarasta ei voi tilata netin kautta, niitä saa vain ihastella ;)).

This was my lunch today at La Cantine bistro in Munkkiniemi. They have great lunches and salads, I really recommend the place! I also had my nails done today. I went with slightly shorter nails, but kept the natural pink colour.

Tässä on tämän päivän lounaani La Cantine bistrossa Munkassa. Niillä on ihania lounasruokia ja salaatteja, suosittelen! Kävin tänään myös huollattamassa kynteni. Tällä kertaa laitoin lyhyemmät, mutta väri pysyi samana, haaleana pinkkinä.

Ugly shoe trends

You know the reaction you have when you see a new trend and it is like the worst trend ever. You think that now they have really gone too far....then after a few months you find yourself wearing the same trend you hated a few months ago. I guess that's what trends are. In this post I show some ugly shoe trends that actually are pretty.

Tiedät reaktion jonka saat kun näet jonkin uuden trendin ja ajattelet että hyi hitto miten joku voi pukea päällensä tommoset?!?!  Kuukauden päästä huomaat kuolaavasi samojen trendien perään. Minun kohdallani on käynyt näin näissä trendeissä.

The Brickenstock trend

Seriously!?! the hospital shoe...almost the same category with crocs. The key with wearing this trend is to dress it casually. I think it is similar to the next ugly shoe trend the mule shoe, since it has the same open heel and open toe with wide middle part. I actually like the hospitalshoe pretty much now.

Sairaalakengät?!? Oikeasti? Tämä oli ajatuksen kun ensimmäisen kerran näin nämä jonkun fashionistan jaloissa. Pikkuhiljaa olen kuitenkin tottunut niihin ja oikeastaan tykästynt niihin. Näyttävät mukavilta ja rennoilta :)

The mule shoe

Some versions of the mule shoe actually look very ugly. I like the open toe version the most especially with a thin heel. This looks very comfortable, and I would love to have one in every colour.

Muulikengät kuullostavat yhtä rumalta kuin miltä ne aluksi näytti. Parhaimmat muulikengät ovat ne joissa on siro korko ja varpaat avoinna.

The platform sandals

With these ones I never thought I would like them. But when I saw them on Kenza, I saw why they are becoming a trend. Kind of hospitalish feel to them, but still fresh.

Näistä ajattelin heti että en koskaan tule tykkäämään niistä. Mutta kun näin ne Kenzan päällä niin näin mikä niissä viehättää. Hieman sairaalamaiset, mutta kuitenkin lapsenmielisen raikkaat. 

So with this post we can make the conclusion that I would want all of these weird trends. One ugly shoe trend that will never look nice to my eyes are the Crocs. No matter who you are or what you wear with them, they will never look nice :) maybe at home in the garden...

Tässä postauksessa voimme siis päätellä että haluan kaikki yllä olevat oudot kenkätrendit itselleni. Yksi kenkätrendi josta en koskaan tule tyykkäämään on Crocsit. Ihan sama kuka oot tai mitä puet päällesi näiden kanssa, Crocsit eivät koskaan näytä hyvälle :) Ehkä hiekkalaatikolla tai puutarhassa...
