Lights and selfies!

So now it is back to basics. I am happy to get back in to the normal routine, which is good for my mind and body. Im also going to do some changes in my diet, but I will write about that later. 

I have got a bigger gift card to Stockmann, and I am thinking what to buy. First I was looking at good quality shoes, coats and bags, but my friend said I should think about maybe buying something bigger for the house, like a lamp or something similar. When I tought about it I realized I actually need a ceiling light in my bedroom, so I did some research in what lights Stockmann offers. I found these ones that I really like!

Nyt ollaan takaisin arjessa ja rutiineissa, mikä varmasti on hyväksi mielelleni ja keholleni. Saavutettuani rutiinit ja tasapainon aion myös tehdä hieman muutoksia ruokavaliooni, mutta siitä kerron myöhemmin.

Olen saanut muutaman isomman lahjakortin Stockalle, ja olen miettinyt mitä sieltä hankkisin. Olen katsellut laadukkaita takkeja, kenkiä ja laukkuja, mutta en ole löytänyt vielä mitään miellytävää. Sitten ystäväni ehdotti että kannattaisi varmaan hankkia jotakin isompaa kotiin, kuten valaisimen tai muuta hieman kalliimpaa. Hetken pohdittuani totesin että tarvitsen kyllä uuden kattolampun makuuhuoneeseeni, joten katsastin sitten Stockan lamppuvalikoiman netistä. Näihin lamppuihin ihastuin!

Today I found some really good sale products from Seppälä. I found this black kimono robe and these soft cozy socks for a -70% sale.

Keskimmäinen lamppu on tehty sulista, joten se sopisi mainiosti makkariin :) Saa nähdä miltä nämä näyttävät livenä.

Tänään löysin pari juttua Seppälästä hyvällä alennuksella. Tämä musta silkkikimono sekä super pehmeät olo-sukat(??) -70% alessa.

New year new name

I've been thinking for a while now to change the name of the blog. As much as I like the current name, it feels too long for a blog. Blog names are normally so kliché and cheesy, or then they are just the bloggers name, which then again is a bit boring. 

However, any blog name I was thinking of sounded weird. So I decided to name it with my second name. Simple and boring, but short and easy :D 

I hope I won't loose that many of my (about 10) readers :D

Olen pohtinut blogin nimen muuttamista jo jonkin aikaa, mutta en ole ollut ihan varma uudesta nimestä. Vaikka pidän blogini nykyisestä nimestä, se tuntuu hieman pitkältä nimeltä blogille. Normaalisti bloginimet ovat joko bloggaajan nimi, tai jokin muu hyvin klicheinen bloginimi. Täydellistä bloginimeä ei tuntunut löytyvän, joten päätin nimetä blogini tylsästi toisen nimeni mukaan. Tylsä, mutta helppo ja lyhyt.

Toivottavasti en tämän myötä menetä kovin montaa kymmenistä lukijoistani :D

On Friday we had our girls cooking night. It was nice to see the girls (and doggies), but our cookings have become more easy. The idea for our cooking nights was for us to get together and try different recipes. But this time we went for tacos and ice cream :D Not so much cooking! Anyway, it was delicious!

Perjantaina pidimme taas tyttöjen kokkausillan. Kokkausiltojen tarkoituksena oli, että teemme yhdessä eri ruokia ja kokeilemme eri reseptejä. En tiedä ollaanko laiskoja, mutta kokkailut ja reseptikokeilut ovat muuttuneet vain helpommiksi :D Tällä kertaa teimme torilloja ja jäätelöä :D

Today I went to see some other friends for brunch at Robert's Coffee in Kamppi. Afterwards I checked the sale in COS and some other shops. This is me when I just got home from the city, after checking what the sale at Stockman had to offer. I was kind of hoping to find a new wool coat, but no. The place was full packed with people, and anything I found did not have any sizes left :( ...how frustrating.

Tänään kävin tapaamassa toisia ystäviäni Kampin Robertsissa brunssin merkeissä. Kävin myös Stockalla katsomassa ale-tarjontaa. Olin oivonut löytäväni uuden villakangastakin, mutta kaikista kivoista takeista minun kokoni olivat loppu :( ...tyypillistä.

Mostly I've been looking like this, chilling at home :) I am happy the holidays are over, so the normal day rhythm can start. I can feel that my sleep rhythm is out of balance. I go to bed very late and sleep long, which is not what I am used to. Talk about shock for my system when I get back to work... 

Muuten viikonloppu on mennyt rauhallisesti kotona oleskellen. Odotan jo että normaali arki alkaa, ja pääsee takaisin normaaliin rytmiin. Mulla on mennyt nukkumisrytmi ihan sekaisin lomien myötä. Menen todella myöhään nukkumaan, en saa unta, ja nukun pitkään. Kiva shokki tulossa, kun taas pitää herätä 6.00!

2014

I decided to look back a bit on last year and answer some questions about 2014 I found on a blog. I needed a lot of help from my photo album, since my event memory is not that good. Something that happened this year, might, according to my memory have happened two or three years ago :D When I first started  to look back at last year I was thinking that nothing really happened. But when I looked at the pictures I remembered that actually, a lot happened...

Who have you spent most time with?

My boyfriend, naturally.

Have you gotten better at something?

Pole dancing. I did pole dance a few years ago, and stopped. But this year I started again, and now I have been dancing it regularly.

What was particularly bad with the year?

The tiredness in the autumn. Autumn is usually dark and tiresome but this year it felt some how more difficult.

What was particularly good?

I traveled to a completely new place, which was a bit scary but super exciting as well :) I am happy I spent a lot of time with my family as well.

No close friends, but acquaintances.

Did you do something you have never done before?

Yes, I had my first work trip, and I started blogging in February 2014.

Did something make you extra happy?

No, not really, everything has been pretty much smooth sailing. Some work related things has made me very glad at least :)

Who have you been missing during 2014?

I always miss my loved ones when Im not with them, but during this year I found my self especially missing my grandmother from my dads side who I never got to know, since she passed away when I was five. For some reason my thoughts have been a lot with her, and I have felt sorry that I never got to know her. 

Have you been in a relationship during 2014?

Yes.

Where did you travel during 2014?

Nigeria, Sweden, Estonia and some inside of Finland.

I am looking forward to 2015, but to be honest, my expectations are not that high :D Somehow the atmosphere and situation in Finland in general does not really give any high hopes for 2015. Let's hope I am wrong!

Blonder girl

Before christmas I asked my sister to colour my hair. I wanted to put a lot of highlights, but she just wanted to put full colour to it, so that's what we did. I like the lighter blonde so far. Especially as I found a good silver shampoo that stops the hair from turning yellow. The Keune silver shampoo is really good!  The first picture is the hair before colouring. 

Somehow I think my whole complexion changed when the hair got lighter. Or maybe I am just very pale :D

Ennen joulua pyysin siskoani värjäämään hiukseni. Halusin että hän laittaisi paljon vaaleita raitoja tyveen, mutta hän halusi laittaa värin koko päähän. Värjäsimme siis tyven kokonaan vaaleammaksi ja laitoimme koko päähän valean sävytteen. Olen ollut tyytyväinen tulokseen vaikka se aluksi todella vaalealta näytti. Minulla vaaleat hiukset rupevat aina kellertämään, joten olin iloinen löytäessäni Keunen opeashampoon, joka on tähän asti paras kokeilemani hopeashampoo.

Mielestäni minun koko värini muuttui vaalennuksen myötä, mutta totesin että se johtuu vain siitä että olen todella kalpea, ja vaaleammat hiukset korostavat tätä :D

1.1.2015

So our new years didn't go as planned. My boyfriend has been having a small flu, and yesterday when he got to my place he was having a fever. So our plans of going out did not happen. I could have gone out with some friends, but I didn't wanna leave him alone since he very rarely has fever. Later we did open a bottle of sparkling wine and enjoyed good food and eachothers company. At least we spent the evening together <3

The sparkling wine was something I bought from the ferry to Estonia. I was really fascinated of the wine, since it was glittering! The wine was very sweet, but I like sweet drinks so it was perfect for me :)

Uusi vuosi ei oikein mennyt suunnitelmiemme mukaan. Poikaystävälläni on ollut pientä flunssaa tässä pari päivää, ja eilen illalla kun hän saapui luokseni, hänelle oli noussut korkea kuume. Emme siis lähteneet ulos juhlimaan kuten suunnitelmissamme oli, vaan jäimme kotiin. Saimme kuitenkin nauttia toistemme seurasta sekä muutamasta lasista glitteriskumppaa!

Glitterikuohuviinin ostin Tallinan laivalta. Se on niin siistin näköistä että tuijotin sitä koko illan :D Juoma on todella makeaa, mutta pidän itse makeista drinkeistä, joten se sopi minulle mainiosti!

Sale haul

Today I went to fix my nails. I wanted a different colour for new years,so I went with a bright neon colour. It is really bright, so I will probably change it as soon as we are on the new years' side :) 

After that I met a friend for coffee and checked out the sales in the city.

Kävin tänään huollattamassa kynteni, ja halusin uuden vuoden kunniaksi hieman räikeämmän värin. Kynsihuollon jälkeen lähdin keskustaan tapaamaan kaveriani.

 So I promised to show what I got myself from Estonia. As I said, unfortunately our time ran out, so we didn't have that much time to shop, but these are the items I found. Everything is from River Island.

I think the faux fur clutch is super cute, and the leather skirt will be perfect for spring. The glitter skirt might be the star for tonight!

Lupasin näyttää mitä ostin itselleni Tallinnan alennusmyynneistä. Löysin yhden glitterihameen, yhden tekonahkahameen ja tekoturkislaukun. Kaikki ovat River Islandin liikkeestä. Tekoturkispikkulaukku on mielestäni todella söpö! Nahkahame on täydellinen keväälle, ja glitterihame saa tänään kimmeltää kilpaa ilotulitteiden kanssa :)

This is what I found in the sales in Zara earlier this week. The oversized knit and the tartan scarf. The scarf is actually from the mens side :) 

The faux fur coat in the last picture I found today from a shop in Forum called Flash. I never visit that shop, but this time I went in and found this last pice for a bargain. I really like the material of the coat, can't wait to use it!

Tässä muita alelöytöjä aikaisemmin viikolta. Neule ja huivi ovat molemmat Zarasta. Huivi on miesten osastolta :)

Käyn hyvin harvoin Forumissa sijaitsevaan Flash naistenvaateliikkeeseen, mutta tänään kävin. Onnekseni löysin todella hyvällä alennuksella olleen tekoturkiksen. Se on ihanan pehmeä ja kangas on muutenkin hyvin miellyttävän tuntuista. En malta odottaa että saan pukea sen päälle tänään :)

Tallin

Yesterday me and my friend Jenna traveled to Tallin for one day. We had reserved treatments at a spa close to the harbour. The spa was called Kalev Spa and it is attached to a hotel. We both had a treatment called Bali spa, which included a scrub and an oil massage. It was really relaxing and a good experience overall. The price was not bad either.

Eilen kävimme ystäväni Jennan kanssa päiväreissulla Tallinnassa. Olimme varanneet Balispa hoidot Kalev Spassa, joka sijaitsee lähellä  satamaa. Hoidossa tehtiin kuorinta ja öljyhieronta. Kokemus oli rentouttava. Voin suositella Kalev Spata. Hinta hoidolle oli myös hyvä.

After the treatments we walked to Virukeskus to check out some shops. This time is a really good shopping time in Tallin. The sales are on fire and you can still find good deals. We did not have so much time left afer the spa, but I still managed to get something for myself. I will show the shoppings later :).

Spa-hoidon jälkeen käveltiin Virukeskukseen jossa ehdittiin pyöriä hetki. Tämä aika on hyvä shoppailuaika Tallinnassa, sillä alet ovat juuri käynnistyneet ja kaupoissa voi vielä tehdä hyviä löytöjä :). Ostin muutaman jutun River Islandista, jotka näytän myöhemmin. 

At the boat we participated in a quiz and won!!! :D We won a trip to Stockholm! Lucky us!

On the ferry I bought one of my all time favourite perfumes that was on sale, YSL Parisienne. It is a big bottle and the scent is a very feminine rose scent. I love it. I have a lot of differentperfumes, since I like to mix them. Here are some of them.  

Laivalla löysin yhden kaikkien aikojen lempiparfyymeisäni alennuksessa. Tämä oli hyvä löytö, sillä pullo on iso. Mulla on paljon eri parfyymejä joita tykkään sekoitella. Tämä ihanan ruusuinen YSL Parisienne sopii kokoelmaani paremmin kuin hyvin!
